GPSauge IN1 v.2: Update Package
An update package for the GPSauge IN1 v.2 will be available starting in calendar week 14, which improves the performance and stability of individual applications (particularly in the BLE area). You can therefore download and install it according to your schedule. GPS Explorer Web: Device Management
With the expansion of device management in GPS-Explorer web, even more information regarding the vehicle’s configuration and specifications can now be stored for later use in other contexts (e.g., service intervals, vehicle inspections, reports, etc.). The documentation options related to the installed telematics system have also been expanded. In the future, acceptance reports prior to installation can also be supplemented with videos and images (e.g., using the new Telematics VideoCreator, which we’ll introduce below) so that you can see at any time when, where, how, and what was installed. The updated GPS-Explorer web will be available starting in calendar week 12.

GPS Explorer Mobile: New Update
With the new update to GPS-Explorer mobile, the communication features in particular have been revamped and are now available as a chat function. All mailboxes that are essential while on the go have been added—including, in particular, a mailbox for unread outgoing messages. This allows the dispatcher to immediately see whether the drivers have acknowledged all relevant messages. Conversely, an inbox for messages from all drivers—that is, messages you haven’t read yet—has been added. Of course, the direct chat feature with a single recipient is also available.
In addition, the translation tool has been expanded and is now also directly integrated into the new chat feature—just as you’re already familiar with from GPS-Explorer Web.
The update will be released in the App Store (Play Store/bug fix) in calendar week 13.

GPS-Explorer web: Date selection—even better!
A date field has been added to GPS Explorer Web that allows for very quick selection. Since questions occasionally arose regarding usability, an animation has now been added that explains the feature quickly and easily.

New App: Telematics VideoCreator
The quality of a telematics unit’s installation is absolutely crucial. Thanks to standardized connectors and vehicle interfaces, the installation process has been greatly simplified over the years. Video tutorials from GPSoverIP on the topic of installation have also provided installers with information to ensure high-quality installation. To make it even easier and faster to document installations performed by third parties, the Telematics VideoCreator is now available to certified workshops upon request. The official upload to the Play Store will take place in calendar week 16, at which point it will be available to everyone. Using this app, the installer records videos and images of the installation process with the help of a wizard; the app assists in this process and creates a finished video tutorial for the installation from the recordings. In addition, the tutorials can be imported into the new device management system so that users can view how the telematics system was installed at any time.

Save money with a comprehensive solution!
Monitoring compliance with cold chain regulations—and documenting it—can be quite costly and time-consuming to implement. With GPSoverIP’s comprehensive solution, however, that’s not the case! For an unbeatable monthly price of just 95 cents, we offer you the ability to stay informed about your trailer’s cold chain at all times.
Just as attractive as the cost is the extremely simple installation. It simply involves sticking or mounting the TAG in the trailer and takes only a few minutes. This way, you not only have an overview of your cold chain documentation but also the location of your tractor unit.
If desired, the functionality can be expanded to include monitoring the opening of the cargo/trailer doors.
Of course, this requires a current GPSauge IN1 v.2 or GPSauge MI6 😉. Retrofitting is also possible for older models—please feel free to contact GPSoverIP Customer Support for more information!

New "No-Movement Alert" Feature
A new feature has been added to the GPS Explorer’s set of rules: the “No-Movement Alarm.” This feature is designed to monitor a vehicle’s idle time and trigger an alarm if the driver has NOT started driving on time within the specified period.
The alarm can be sent via text message, email, or displayed in GPS-Explorer.
With this new feature, GPSoverIP is responding to a request from several customers who, in their day-to-day business, often face hefty penalties from cargo recipients if deliveries are not made within a specific time window.
Please feel free to share your requests regarding features you’d like to see implemented in the GPS-Explorer web/mobile platform and all other applications—whether software or hardware-related—that may not yet be available.
If you have any questions about this or other features, please feel free to contact your GPSoverIP account manager.

3…2…1… GO!
On March 26, 2022, it’s that time again…the new NLS racing season begins! GPSoverIP is once again a supporting partner this year with its telematics solutions. GPSoverIP telematics ensures transparency in racing—for spectators, the racing team, and race officials alike.
New this year is support via the cockpit LED display, which—as an accessory for the GPSauge (high-performance telematics) used there—serves as an early-warning system in the race car. Until now, the driver was alerted only by manual flag signals from track marshals, and Race Control—the heart of the racetrack—was informed via radio messages. This is where all relevant information about what’s happening converges, and where decisions are made about what to do. Although these procedures have been refined over decades, situations on the Nordschleife can still be difficult to assess under certain circumstances. What was missing was a system that delivers information from track marshals directly to the vehicle. The GPSoverIP system—the “cockpit LED display / electronic flag”—delivers precisely this information directly to the vehicle, accurate to the meter. Further innovations and enhancements are possible through the installation of the system and are already in the planning stages, such as the transmission of automated accident detection as well as reports on track conditions, etc.

GPSauge mobile: Performance & Stability
The “GPSauge mobile” app is available in conjunction with the GPSauge IN1 and GPSauge MI6 product lines and is primarily used by subcontractors and temporary drivers employed by companies. In addition to the tracking function, the app also offers mobile order management. For example, orders can be transferred from headquarters to the mobile version.
With the latest update, the app received further refinements, resulting in a noticeable improvement in performance. Occasional stability issues are now a thing of the past.
The “GPSauge mobile” app is primarily used by drivers who are temporarily or only occasionally integrated into the company (e.g., subcontractors and temporary drivers) and can optionally be integrated into the vehicle management system for the entire fleet with just a few clicks via GPS-Explorer.
If you have any questions about the “GPSauge mobile” app, please contact GPSoverIP Customer Support or your GPSoverIP account manager.
