Self-Contained Trailer and Container Tracking
With the plug-and-play asset/trailer telematics system, you can keep track of your trailers and containers along with all relevant information.
This self-contained solution requires only a BLE tag (a small Bluetooth receiver—included with the system), which is mounted inside or on the trailer or container. This ensures continuous tracking with minimal effort—updated every second. Additional data such as temperature, pairing status, or door-opening information is also clearly displayed in real time in the GPSoverIP telematics portal—the GPS Explorer.
If the trailer or container is equipped with a BLE tag, trailer mode is automatically activated when it pairs with the tractor unit.
In the GPS-Explorer’s live view, information on position, temperature, opening intervals, etc., is displayed not only at specific points in time but also continuously and precisely every second. Even when uncoupled, data recording is guaranteed by the unique telematics infrastructure. This also allows cold chains to be monitored and secured.
Thanks to the integration of high-performance batteries, no external power supply is required. The battery life is up to 7 years.

Quick and easy installation / setup
Installing the GPSaugen is incredibly simple, as the connections can be made in just a few minutes using automotive-certified connectors. This makes it possible to fully equip even a large fleet in a short amount of time.
For integration, you’ll receive a custom installation kit that can be used for any vehicle. It doesn’t matter whether the additional telemetry connection—if required—is made via a CAN bus (inductive), FMS bus, ISO bus, K-Line, MVB, J1708, OBD/OBD II, VDV300, etc. Depending on your requirements, you simply need to connect the power supply and the appropriate telemetry cable (e.g., CAN plug/OBD plug). The unit can be connected to either a 12-volt or a 24-volt vehicle power supply without an external voltage converter.
If desired, the telematics unit (GPSauge) is preconfigured and activated upon delivery, making it ready for use immediately after installation. Written documentation and video tutorials are available to assist with installation.
