Update rollout:

The rollout for the update begins on May 6, 2024. Depending on your location and signal strength, the update may not begin until the following day. No action is required on your part, as the update will be installed automatically.

Tip:

Unless there are specific settings that are important to you, we recommend resetting the system after the update (under System -> System -> Update Manager). Please note that your GPSauge IN1 v.2 will then revert to its factory settings.

Note:

It is recommended that you resend any customer-specific configurations to your devices after the update. GPSoverIP Customer Support is available to assist you if needed.

To trigger the update manually, please navigate to: System -> System -> Update Manager -> Remote Update.

In the latest general update to GPS-Explorer, we’ve also integrated enhancements that pave the way for the future use of artificial intelligence in generating prompts. Users who wish to benefit from this advanced AI technology must use the latest hardware products from GPSoverIP or, specifically for the GPSauge N1 v. 2, the general update dated May 6, 2024.  For GPSauge MI6 products, at least daughterboard version I3.55.18572 is required.
 

Report generation for automatic AI driving style analysis—which you can access on a driver-by-driver basis in the vehicle/driver bar—requires at least one week’s worth of activity data to ensure accurate results. We therefore recommend using this feature starting in calendar week 20 and hope you enjoy it.

We are pleased to introduce the latest general update for GPS-Explorer web, our web-based fleet management portal. This update includes important features and improvements designed to make your fleet management even more efficient and user-friendly.
 

New Features at a Glance:

Integration of AI Technology: The update includes a significant enhancement through the use of artificial intelligence, which supports data analysis and decision-making in fleet management. This technological innovation makes it possible to identify complex patterns and trends in vehicle data and respond to them proactively.

Route Segment Editor: With just a few clicks, you can automatically generate a route segment by selecting a track. This segment can then be modified and customized as needed to meet the specific requirements of rail transport.

Improvements to Markers and Addresses: The input form for markers and addresses has been redesigned. The preview map is now larger, and markers can be easily moved via drag-and-drop. Additionally, the radius around the marker or address is displayed on the map.

Route with Address Reference: Unrecognized addresses can be entered via quick input, after which the route is immediately recalculated and the stop address is displayed in green. This makes it easier to verify whether vehicles have stopped at the predefined locations.

Enhanced Driver’s License Functionality: You can now enter detailed driver’s license information for each of your drivers and monitor the validity of all vehicle classes. Never before have the funds for the de minimis program (now renamed “Environmental Protection and Safety”) been exhausted so quickly.

The “Environmental Protection and Safety” grant program has been a great success in terms of participation.

The funds allocated for the grant program in the 2024 budget have been committed to the grant applications received to date. No further funding can currently be committed for additional applications. Therefore, the eService portal has been closed for further applications under the “Environmental Protection and Safety” grant program.

Should funding become available again, the application portal will be reopened for new applications. In this case, the Federal Office will provide separate notice in advance.
