A Look Back at 2025
Progress as a Course

GPSoverIP Boosts Value Creation, Innovation, and Digital Market Presence
2025 marks a key strategic year for GPSoverIP. With groundbreaking technologies and a clear focus on smart, digital usage models, we have achieved decisive milestones that will strengthen our market position in the long term. We have created products that set new standards, open up new possibilities for users, and further solidify our role as a driving force for innovation in telematics.
The digital mobility market is changing rapidly. But what matters most is not the speed, but the direction. GPSoverIP is actively shaping this direction: deep in data, high in user-friendliness, and strong in technological future-proofing.
A key step was the release of the new GPSauge Suite app. It intuitively introduces users to our technologies and enables direct access to modern telematics—on a smartphone, anytime, with no hassle. At the same time, it accelerates the rollout of additional products, makes complex functions easy to understand, and serves as the central platform for future innovations.
Building on this, we’ve created jammer.net—a solution that redefines the entry point into vehicle digitization: a modern, tax-compliant trip log—ready for immediate use. And as needs grow, the solution grows with them: with a simple upgrade, it transforms into a full-fledged professional telematics solution that reliably meets even the most demanding requirements. A milestone that has opened the door to new target groups—and, for many, made access to high-quality telematics easier than ever before.
Another highlight of the year is the AI-powered voice assistant “Hey, GPSauge.” It brings true voice control to the GPSauge TAB driver display and makes key functions such as navigation, order processing, and communication accessible via voice commands. Drivers can manage their tasks hands-free, keeping their attention and eyes on the road while simultaneously benefiting from greater comfort and more efficient workflows in the cockpit. This makes telematics an even more tangible part of drivers’ daily lives.
At the same time, this transformation has been consistently implemented within the organization: flexible work models, modern development processes, and the development and integration of our own AI technologies ensure noticeably greater agility, automation, and the speed of innovation—both in our products and in their daily use by our customers.
We look back with pride on a year in which we not only further developed our products but also set the course for the future: for more growth, closer customer relationships, and a leading role in the digital age of mobility.
We thank you for your interest in our developments and look forward to continuing on the path of digital mobility together.
Telematics Solution
for vehicle fleets at the municipal maintenance yard

Telematics for Municipal Applications: Continued Growth
GPSoverIP continues to strengthen its position as a specialist in municipal telematics solutions. More and more cities and public service agencies are relying on our systems—most recently, among others, the city of Mainz. This steady growth confirms that our technology delivers exactly where it’s needed: in daily operations on the road.
Municipal Reality: Complex Operations, High Demands
Whether it’s winter road maintenance, street cleaning, waste management, or summer maintenance operations—municipal agencies operate under intense pressure:
• different vehicles, attachments, and
special bodywork• changing routes, shifts, and service areas•
increasing requirements for documentation and
traceability• expectations for transparency toward politicians, administrators, and citizens
Simple
tracking is no longer nearly enough. What’s needed is telematics that maps operations in detail.
Telematics that goes beyond “mere tracking”
GPSoverIP’s solutions not only record position and route history, but also status- and function-related data. This includes, for example:
• Spreader
on/off• Plow
up/down• Sweeping roller
active• Water, salt, or
brine application• Operating times of special superstructures and attachments
This turns a simple track on the map into reliable proof of operation:
not just where the vehicle was—but also what work was actually performed there.
Customized Analyses and Reliable Records
The recorded data is available in the software for targeted analyses. Typical use cases in municipalities:
• Records of winter service operations (Who was on the road when, where, and with what spreading output?)
• Reports and analyses for committees, departments, and audits•
Documentation of routes, area coverage, and operating times•
Key performance indicators for vehicle and equipment utilization
This makes telematics a tool for both managing day-to-day operations and informing strategic decisions in fleet management.
Flexible Thanks to Proprietary Protocols and a Code Generator
Municipal fleets are rarely uniform: different vehicle manufacturers, body builders, attachments, and specialized systems must all work together. To technically accommodate this diversity, GPSoverIP relies on:
• proprietary communication protocols•
a code generator that allows new signals, sensors, and functions to be integrated quickly
New requirements—such as additional bodywork, sensors, or specialized technology—can thus be quickly integrated into the telematics system. This ensures short implementation times and a solution that can grow along with the fleet.
Conclusion: Telematics as a Tool for Modern Municipalities
For cities, municipalities, and public service agencies, telematics is now a key component for
- documenting operations in a traceable and legally compliant manner,
- deploy resources in a targeted and cost-effective manner, and
- ensure transparency toward policymakers, administrators, and citizens.
GPSoverIP develops telematics solutions that are practical, industry-specific, and tailored to the requirements of municipal operations—thereby helping municipalities manage their day-to-day operations on the road digitally and efficiently.

New interface with FleetHours:
Using Telematics Data for Pay and Expenses

Open, flexible, compatible – telematics with validated interfaces
At GPSoverIP, we don’t rely solely on our own telematics platform. Interfaces are a central component of modern mobility and management processes. Our solutions are designed for integration from the very beginning. With validated interfaces, we enable the seamless export and exchange of vehicle, telemetry, and usage data with other data-driven systems. The API references and integration options are specifically designed to allow telematics data to be reused in ERP, CRM, and specialized software.
Especially in fleet management or municipal applications, it is often necessary to connect telematics data with external systems. A current example: The Platform Science/Trimble software platform uses our interfaces to directly import telematics and usage data, for example, for billing, payroll, or time tracking. Thanks to this API extension, GPSoverIP telematics can also be used in external programs without requiring users to switch tools or processes.
One thing remains clear: the data quality and precision of our telematics are high, and they form the reliable foundation upon which other systems are built. Our proprietary infrastructure, our protocols, and our experience guarantee that the transferred data is accurate, complete, and GDPR-compliant.
This is how freedom and control come together: You use GPSoverIP telematics as usual, and at the same time, you can seamlessly integrate your data into third-party software with just a few clicks. Flexible, transparent, and secure.
Conclusion: With validated interfaces, GPSoverIP makes telematics compatible with both internal processes and external systems. If you want maximum flexibility and data security, you’ve come to the right place.
"Hey, GPSauge" voice assistant:
Now Available

"Hey, GPSauge": AI-powered voice assistant for everyday driving now available
What was announced as a preview in the last newsletter is now a reality: The voice assistant “Hey, GPSauge” is ready for use. The GPSauge TAB driver display can now be operated entirely by voice. Many tasks that previously required typing on the display can now be performed by drivers simply using voice commands.
Starting
navigation, setting order status, providing feedback to headquarters, or making calls—everything works with a short command. The assistant is designed specifically for real-world fleet operations and doesn’t disrupt the driver’s flow while driving.
How “Hey, GPSauge” Works
in Everyday Use The voice assistant is activated by the wake word, followed by a natural command. The system understands typical driving situations and translates the commands into actions on the device. This keeps the display accessible without requiring drivers to take their hands or eyes off the road.
Typical examples:
• “Hey, GPSauge, plan a route to Hamburg with stops in Hanover and Bremen
.”• “Hey, GPSauge, mark order 47812 as completed
.”• “Hey, GPSauge, call Dispatch.”
Everyday questions and small interactions are also possible to lighten the mood in the cockpit, such as:
“Hey, GPSauge, how do you make pancakes?”
Greater Safety, Less Distraction
Voice control is designed with one primary goal in mind: maximum focus on the road. Drivers need to look at the screen much less frequently and can still access all important functions.
Benefits at a Glance
- Hands stay on the steering wheel, eyes on the road.
- Status updates and order changes can be handled on the go without lengthy data entry.
- The system recognizes complex order numbers or addresses, eliminating typos.
In this way, “Hey, GPSauge” enhances safety and reduces typical distractions that easily arise in everyday driving.
Less stress, more comfort in the cab
In addition to safety, comfort plays a major role. Many drivers are heavily loaded in their day-to-day work and must simultaneously process orders, navigate, and communicate with headquarters. Voice control reduces the effort required to operate the device.
Operation becomes simpler, the need to search through menus is eliminated, and even inexperienced users can find their way around more quickly. This leads to fewer stressful situations, especially in heavy traffic, during traffic jams, or when under time pressure.
More Efficient Workflows Between Drivers and
Headquarters “Hey, GPSauge” also improves collaboration with dispatch and fleet management. Status updates, feedback on jobs, or changes to the route can be communicated more quickly. The information is available in the system in real time and does not need to be entered retroactively. The result is cleaner data in the telematics system, more up-to-date information for dispatch and customer service, and an overall smoother flow of information.
The digital copilot in rush hour traffic
Voice assistants have long been standard in passenger cars. With “Hey, GPSauge,” this operating logic is now making its way into the professional fleet environment, tailored to drivers, dispatch, and fleet management. The assistant adds another layer of control to the existing GPSoverIP telematics system without complicating existing workflows. Those who prefer can continue typing as before; those who want to take advantage of the benefits can control their daily work in the cockpit step by step using voice commands.
“Hey, GPSauge” is thus a digital copilot that combines safety, comfort, and efficiency in the driver’s daily routine and makes working on the driver’s display a good deal more relaxed.
